Survival Island is the first episodic island released by Poptropica. Instead of arriving all at once, it was released in five separate episodes. The story follows your sudden crash landing on a strange island, your immediate need to seek warmth, food and shelter, and then some unsettling discoveries about who lives on this island. Here are all the details, including the full walkthroughs and cheats for all five episodes of Survival Island in Poptropica.
Survival Island Episode 1 – Crash Landing
Night has fallen and the temperature is dropping. Alone in the forests of the Yukon, you must find a way to build a fire — but time is running out.
Episode 1 Walkthrough
You’ll begin the first episode of Survival Island with a short cinematic featuring your balloon crashing into the wilderness. Your goal for this episode is to collect all the necessary materials to start a fire and stay warm. The episode starts with you hanging helplessly from a tree. Fear not: just click on the screen below your avatar and you’ll drop harmlessly to the ground.
Walk over to the left and you’ll find a Survival Handbook on the ground. Pick it up to place it in your backpack — you’ll need it!
Now go to the right and you’ll see a gnarled tree with exposed roots above an ice pond. Jump up on the branches to get to the top, where you’ll find a missing page for the survival handbook.
Keep moving to the right until you find a rock pile. Up above this rock pile and to the left you’ll find a dead branch. Jump onto the dead branch to cause it to fall and break apart into a pile of logs, which you’ll need for your fire.
Once again, keep running to the right. You’ll encounter a squirrel running up a tree. You’ll need to follow him up to his squirrel hole, but the way to get there is a bit complicated, since you can’t climb a tree like a squirrel. Instead, you’re going to run all the way to the left, to the edge of this area. You’ll find a woodpecker here, and he’ll fly off to the right. Jump through the branches and follow the woodpecker to his next spot. He’ll fly off again. Keep following him until he reaches the tree with the squirrel inside the hole. The squirrel will cover his ears, totally annoyed by the noise, and leave. This will allow you to collect the squirrel’s nest, which you can use as tinder for your fire.
Drop down to the ground and go to the right, entering the next map section.
Keep moving to the right and you’ll come to a large tree with a hole in it. Pick up the pile of wet kindling under the tree.
There’s another handbook page in the tree right above you. Pick it up to place it inside your survival handbook.
Run to the right again and enter the next map section.
You’ll be running on top of a fallen tree. There’s a hole here that you’ll drop into so that you’re inside the dead and hollow tree trunk. There’s a small family of hibernating rodents here. Run a few steps to the left, and pick up the mittens that have been placed inside the tree. How did they get there?
Jump back up outside of the hollow log and proceed to your right. There’s a tree here with another page from the handbook in the branches. Pick up the page to add it to your collection.
Walk a few more steps here and you’ll find a huge boulder. You’re going to need to move this rock, but you can’t push it with just your hands. You need a little leverage–and now we’re off to find some!
Run all the way to the left, back to the starting area, and then go left once more to enter another area of the map. A few steps away, you’ll find the fourth page of the survival handbook. You will also see a bag hanging from the branches in the tree above you. To get this bag, you need to go to the left and jump up into the branches. Once you reach the bag, click on it, and an item will fall out of it and land on the ground. Jump down and use your mittens to clear the snow. You’ve found the striker, a tool you can use to spark your fire.
Keep moving to the left and you’ll soon come to a tree stump with an axe sticking out of it. Put on your mittens (you need to have them on) and click on the axe handle. It will come out of the stump and you will place it in your backpack. You’ll use the axe handle later to pry the large boulder loose.
While you’re here, pick up the fifth and final page of the survival handbook.
Run all the way to the right until you get back to the large boulder. Equip the axe handle from your backpack and then click on the boulder twice. The first time, it will roll a little. Click on it a second time to push it even further. It will drop, and a piece will chip off. Pick up this piece, which you’ll use as flint for your fire.
The other thing that happens when you roll the boulder is that you’ve created a spot on the ground that is shielded from the wind. According to the survival guide, you need this to properly build a fire. Now you just have one problem: the only kindling you have is wet. That won’t do! We need to find some wood that is dry. Hey, how about looking inside the cave just to the right?
Once you get inside the cave, you’ll discover there’s a hibernating bear inside. If you wake him, he’ll chase you out. The trick is to pay attention to the bat who enters the cave with you. When he flies up, there’s a ledge there (you won’t be able to see it — just jump!) and you can use that to cross over the sleeping bear. Drop down on the other side and you’ll find some dry kindling. Go back over the bear and leave the cave.
Now you have everything you need to build a fire. Go to the sheltered spot to the left of the boulder and then click on the fire icon in the lower-left part of your screen. Follow the fire building steps that are outlined in your survival handbook.
- First, use the mittens to completely clear a patch of ground beneath the snow.
- Next, place the tinder (the squirrel’s nest) down.
- Then light the fire with the striker and tinder.
- Now “blow” on the fire with your mouse cursor (drag it up and down where it says to blow).
- Place the dry kindling on the fire.
- Finally, place the logs on the fire.
You’ve done it! You now have a warm fire in a sheltered spot and you’ve completed Episode 1 of Survival Island. Congratulations!

Hello everyone! Poptropicon Episode 3 is finally here! This island is called Reign of Omegon and as you can probably guess has Omegon taking over PoptropiCon. He will not stop until he’s transformed everyone into a hench-bot. It is our job to battle Omegon and free the convention people! See below for a full written and video walkthrough of Poptropicon Island, Reign of Omegon.
Episode 3 Reign of Omegon Cheats
To start, you will wake up in the basement of the convention center and someone will tell you what has happened. The basement is where the last of the resistance is located! When you are ready, get up and head left grabbing the energy drink on the table and then jumping out and exiting the basement through the vent above the table.
Once in this next room. You will find a ton of laser beams. We need to get to the other side of this room to find a shield which will help us get past these lasers and save the archer trapped in the cage.
Hint or Cheats: Please see the video if you need help getting to the other side of the room!
Once you have the shield, you can use it by clicking on it in the bottom left hand corner and then pressing (not holding) the space bar. Do this while under the laser beams and it will bounce them off at a right angle. Our goal her is to destroy all of the power boxes which will then deactivate the lasers around the cage freeing the prisoner! There are three of them in this room! See the video for how to do this correctly please!
Once you have done this, go over to the cage and press the red button freeing the prisoner. Now exit this area the same way you came in. As a reward, the archer will give you her bow once you are back in the basement.
Now we need to use the “Expo” vent to exit the basement. Once in the expo area, jump down and head right. You will see there are a few people that we will need to save in this room! When you get onto the third barrel, click on the bow in the bottom left hand corner and be facing right. Then click the space bar. Your bow will shoot an arrow and destroy a green crystal.
Hint or Cheats: By destroying these green crystals, you will cause all of the green barriers to go down freeing the prisoners.
Poptropica Survival Island Episode 3 Cheats
After you destroy the first one, you need to jump up to the second level and push down a box. Push it down to the right all the way to the bottom level. If you need help, please see the video walkthrough! Jump on this box facing right to shoot the next crystal.
The third crystal is in the way top right of the level, you will have to go to the top level, find another box, push it to the right a bit using it to jump to the next platform. Facing right, shoot another arrow!
Now we need to go all the way under where we just where and pull out our shield redirecting the laser beam to destroy the power box above the top floor (Align the laser beam to go through the hole in the level above you). Please see the video if you are confused!
Once you have done this, go up to the prisoner in the laser cage and press the red button freeing him. Once he is freed, follow him through the vent back to the basement where we will get unpowered electron pulse gauntlets for freeing him.
Now go back through the Expo vent, equipping the gauntlets if you haven’t already, and clicking on the power back where it says “Caution”. By doing this you will power the gauntlets.
Now, to free this man, click on the blue triangle on this machine! He will give you an energy drink for freeing him. Once you are done here, exit this room through the vent and then use the vent leading to the Exhibit Room. This is the room we feed the first person in.
In this room, we are going to use the gauntlets to power the vending machine on the far right. This will allow us to get another energy drink which we need to continue! Once you have the third energy drink, exit this room through the vent you entered with.
Now enter the vent leading into the theater. You will see that we need to free yet another prisoner but this time, we will be using a combination of all three of our items, the gauntlets, the bow, and the shield!
Survival Island 3 Poptropica
Hint or Cheats: Please see the video on what you need to do in this room if you cannot figure it out! It is very hard to talk you through it.
In this room, you will first need to use the gauntlets to power the moving platforms destroying the green crystals when getting even with them and destroying the power boxes when you see them.
All it takes is destroying 1 power box and 2 crystals and you will be able to free the prisoner by hitting the red button! Once he is free, follow him out of this room and back in the basement, he will give you a shield to replace your other one. This prisoner was the last one you needed to save.
Now Omegon will appear and you will realize that you have been set up! To destroy him and send him back where he came from, we will need to overload the Omegon Crystal. We need to go to Omegon’s throne room to find the crystal and overpower it!
To get here, use the vent going to the theater. Now head to the right and use the lift (By using your gauntlets) to go to the top. Once here, head left and use your shield to destroy the power box. Now head all the way back down and go all the way to the left and you will enter a room with Omegon’s Crystal in it. Here is where we will use our energy drinks by placing one on each plug.
After adding all three energy drinks, power each triangle up and shoot an arrow at the crystal by standing on the platform just to your right. We will now have banished Omegon. Or have we? We will now be taken into spacetime where we will truly battle Omegon.
How to defeat Omegon in Poptropicon Island Reign of Omegon
To defeat Omegon, we will need to deflect the laser beams onto the bottom of the hand platforms. When they fall, power them up with your gloves, ride them up to Omegon and use your arrow to destroy the green crystals! Once all of them are destroyed, you will then need to use your shield to destroy the glowing pink energy shields. Once you have done this you will have defeated Omegon!
